CHRISTMAS:
The traditional birthdate of Jesus of Nazareth is celebrated with joy and grandeur by Christians all over the world on the 25th of December. It starts from the 24th of December midnight and in some countries is followed by Boxing Day on Decembder 26. It signifies the birth of Jesus to Mary and Joseph. Christmas traditions include the display of Christmas Trees, exchange of Gifts and cards, the arrival of Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. Christmas is celebrated with friends and family. Houses are decorated and lighted. People go to the church on the night of the 24h for the midnight mass and offer prayers to the Lord. Carols and songs are sung in praise of Lord Jesus. The cities are decorated with lights and wear a festive look during the holidays. Santa Claus is seen in the shops and gatherings.

Chicken Jeere-Meeri

Ingredients:
700gms.CHICKEN,
3MEDIUM POTATOES
3BIG ONIONS, (MAKE PASTE)
3 BIG TOMATOES, (MAKE PASTE)
5 GREEN CHILLIES. (AS PER TASTE)
1/2 TSP HALDI POWDER.
TO MAKE POWDER---1 1/2 TSP + 1/2 TBSP JEERA,
30- 35 PEPPER, (AS PER TASTE)
2 CARDAMOM,
1/2 TSP KUSKUS, (OR 5-6 CASHEWNUTS)
3 LAVANG (cloves),
3 CINNAMON STICK.
Directions:
FIRST FRY ONION PASTE IN A KADAI. ADD TOMATOE PASTE, STIR AND FRY WELL. NOW ADD CHILLIES, KEEP FRYING FOR 1/2 MINUTE, NOW ADD CHICHEN PIECES, POTATOES WITH SALT AND HALDI PD. BOIL WELL. WHEN THE MEAT BOILS PROPERLY ADD THE PEPPER-JEERA PD AND MIX WELL. AT LAST ADD SOME CORIANDER LEAVES FOR GARNISHING.
